Education
Salman Khan attended Scindia School Gwalior in Gwalior with his brother Arbaaz Khan for his early education. After that, he attended St. Stanislaus High School in Mumbai for his secondary education.
Career
Khan first appeared on screen in the 1988 film Biwi Ho To Aisi, in which he played a supporting role. He then went on to star in Sooraj R. Barjatya’s romantic family drama Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), which went on to become one of India’s highest-grossing films at the time.
Khan co-starred with Aamir Khan in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Andaz Apna Apna in 1994. The film was a box office failure when it was released, but it has since acquired cult status.
Prabhu Deva, a choreographer turned director, directed him in Wanted. The film received a mixed response from critics.
In 2011, he founded SKBH Productions, his own production company (Salman Khan Being Human Productions). The proceeds from the film will be donated to the Being Human organization.

In 2011, he founded SKBH Productions, his own production company (Salman Khan Being Human Productions). Being Human would receive funds raised by film productions. Chillar Party, a children’s entertainer, was the first film produced under the banner, and it went on to win 3 National Awards for Best Children’s Film, Best Original Screenplay, and Child Artist’s Award.
Khan decided to pay ₹4 million (US$56,000) to free 400 inmates from 63 jails in Uttar Pradesh via his NGO in January 2012.
Khan announced in July 2015 that he would donate the proceeds from his most profitable film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, to poor farmers across India.
Controversies
Khan’s personal life is marred by scandal and legal issues.
He was convicted of culpable homicide in 2015 for a reckless driving case in which he hit and killed 5 pedestrians with his motorcycle, but his sentence was overturned on appeal.
Khan was found guilty of blackbuck hunting and sentenced to 5 years in jail on April 5, 2018. He is still out on parole pending the outcome of his appeal.

Khan was arrested for reckless and careless driving on September 28, 2002, after his car collided with a bakery in Mumbai, killing one person who was sleeping on the pavement outside the bakery and injuring 3 others.
