Seanoa was born on March 17, 1979, in Orange County, California, and reared there.
He grew up primarily in Huntington Beach but also spent time at Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Tiare Productions, a Polynesian dance ensemble based in the United States, was formed by his family.

Education
While attending Ocean View High School, he won the California State Junior Judo Championship and was an all-league football player.
Seanoa worked as a mortgage broker before becoming a wrestler.
Joe was the first graduate of the UIWA West Coast Dojo, where he studied under Cincinnati Red, Johnny Hemp, and John Delayo on occasion.
Three months after starting training, he made his debut in December 1999 in a match against “Uncle” Jess Hansen.
Career
On December 12, 2000, he defeated the debuting Al Katrazz alongside Mike Knox at UPW Proving Ground in the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, California.
