Jeff Hardy was born on August 31, 1977, in Cameron, North Carolina, United States.

Jeff Nero Hardy is the younger brother of Matt Hardy and the son of Gilbert and Ruby Moore Hardy.

When Jeff Hardy was nine years old, his mother died of brain cancer.

At the age of 12, he became interested in motocross and purchased his first bike, a Yamaha YZ-80.

When he was in ninth grade, he ran his first race.

Hardy used to play baseball as a kid, but he had to stop after breaking his arm in a motocross race.

Private & early life

Hardy met his girlfriend Beth Britt in 1999, shortly after Hardy Boyz became the first tag team to win the WWF Tag Team Championship.

He met her at a bar in Southern Pines, North Carolina, where he and his brother Matt were.

His house was reported to have burnt to the ground in a fire on March 15, 2008.

He and his fiancée Beth were not at home at the time of the fire, but his dog, Jack, perished.

He began construction on a new home in the same region as his previous one in October 2008, with a projected completion date of early January 2009.
