Mangal Prabhat Lodha was born on December 1, 1995, and raised in a Rajasthani family in Jodhpur, India.

He is the son of Guman Mal Lodha, a freedom fighter and former chief justice of the Guwahati High Court. He has two children with his wife, Manju Lodha.
Lodha graduated from the University of Jodhpur with a B.Com and an LLB.
He practiced law in the Jodhpur High Court. When his father was called to the same court as a lawyer, he relocated his practice.
In 1981, he relocated to Mumbai and founded the Lodha Group.
Lodha began his career by designing middle-class homes in Mumbai’s outskirts.
