Mittal has graduated as a Baker Scholar with an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mittal earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, where he was named the Best Graduating Student.

Career

Mittal and his Indian Institute of Technology undergraduate classmates co-founded Indiabulls, a real estate and financial services conglomerate, in 1999. He was Vice-Chairman of the board of directors until 2014 when he stood down.

In 2001, he entered Farallon Capital as an investment associate.

In 2005, he became a full partner at Noonday Capital, a Farallon affiliate.

Mittal met Chatri Sityodtong while training for his MBA at Harvard Business School, and the 2 later founded the martial arts promotion ONE Championship in 2011.

Following some reasons in 2011, Mittal quit both Farallon and Noonday.

Mittal and his operating partners formed Incedo Inc. in 2011 to concentrate on data and analytics in the United States.

Nitin Seth took over as Chief Executive Officer of Incedo from Mittal in 2017, while Mittal remained Chairman.

Mittal founded Mission Holdings, a private investment holding company focused on financial services, advertising, real estate, and technology, in 2014, and he is the sole shareholder and chairman.

In 2018, Mittal was appointed Vice-Chairman of the group.
