Bilzerian came in 180th place at the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event. Bluff magazine named him one of the funniest poker players on Twitter in 2010.
In November 2011, Bilzerian was one of several sued by Tobey Maguire for debt of honour winnings from no-contract poker games.
In the same year, Bilzerian openly defended Alex Rodriguez against claims of unlawful gambling, alleging that he was there when the alleged gambling event occurred and that Rodriguez was not.
Bilzerian claimed to have earned $10.8 million in a single night of poker in November 2013, and he claimed to have won $50 million in 2014, adding that he “doesn’t play against pros anymore” and that the most he’s ever lost in a single session are $3.6 million. On March 9, 2011, Bilzerian raced and won a wager of $385,000 against Tom Goldstein at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with Bilzerian driving a 1967 AC Cobra and Goldstein driving a Ferrari 458 Italia.
Bilzerian is said to have had two heart attacks by the age of 32 as a result of his drug usage.
