Brown is the son of “Touchdown” Eddie Brown, a former Arena Football League standout who was crowned the league’s top player in 2006.

Brown was a football player at Miami Norland High School in Miami, Florida. Brown was a running back, quarterback, wide receiver, and punt returner for the Minnesota Vikings in football. He was voted North Athlete of the Year at the 2005 Miami-Dade Gridiron Classic and was a two-time Class 6A all-state pick.

Brown applied to Florida State University after graduating from high school. His application was turned down due to academic issues.
