Riteish Deshmukh was born on December 17, 1978, in Maharashtra, India.
He is the son of Vaishali and Vilasrao Deshmukh, the ex-chief minister of Maharashtra and Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises India.
He has two brothers: Amit, his older brother, and Dhiraj, his younger brother, both politicians.
He worked for a year with an architectural business in another country. Since his return to India, he has continued to create.

Riteish Deshmukh attended GD Somani Memorial School and graduated from Mumbai’s Kamla Raheja College of Architecture with an architecture degree.
Riteish Deshmukh made his Hindi film debut with Genelia D’Souza in Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003.
He rose to prominence with his performance in Masti, for which he received two minor honors.
