Private & early life
After meeting on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004, Fox began dating actor Brian Austin Green, who was 30 at the time. “I had to convince him that I was significantly more responsible and well-spoken and had other things to contribute to the table than being 18,” Green said Fox, explaining that he was originally hesitant to establish a relationship with her because of their age gap. In November of 2006, they got engaged. They called it quits on their engagement in February 2009.
Later that year, Fox was targeted by the “Bling Ring,” a group of fashion-conscious crooks who looted Green’s home in exchange for access to Fox’s belongings. On June 1, 2010, Fox and Green were rumoured to have re-engaged, however Fox maintained that she and Green had been engaged since 2006.
In June 24, 2010, Fox and Green married in a private ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort on Maui. Noah Shannon Green, Bodhi Ransom Green, and Journey River Green are their three boys. Green’s son Kassius was Fox’s stepson from a previous relationship. On August 21, 2015, Fox filed for divorce, only days after she and Green announced their separation. They were back together in early 2016 and expecting their third kid. In Los Angeles, California, on April 25, 2019, Fox filed a motion to dismiss the divorce.
After nearly ten years of marriage, Green and Fox announced their separation in May 2020, and Fox filed for divorce from Green for the second time in November 2020. On October 15, 2021, the divorce was completed.
Generosity Water is a sponsor of Fox and Green, who have funded the construction of over 10 water wells for the organisation.
Fox stated that she has a general distrust and dislike of men, and that the stereotype of her as a “wild and crazy sexpot” is false because she is asocial and has only had sexual intimacy with her “childhood sweetheart” and Brian Austin Green; she stated that she would rather stay at home than go out, and that she cannot have sex with someone she does not love.
She and artist Machine Gun Kelly made their romance public in June 2020, a few weeks after the release of Machine Gun Kelly’s single “Bloody Valentine,” which featured Fox in the music video. Fox announced the couple’s engagement on January 12, 2022.
