Emily Jean Stone was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, on November 6, 1988, to Jeffrey Charles Stone, the founder, and CEO of a general contracting firm, and Krista Jean Stone, a housewife.

From the age of twelve to fifteen, she lived on the grounds of the Camelback Inn resort.

Spencer is her younger brother.

Stone suffered from newborn colic as a youngster and wept a lot, which caused nodules and calluses on her vocal cords as she grew up.

Stone had wanted to perform since she was four years old; at first, she intended to pursue a career in sketch comedy, but she soon changed her mind and began taking vocal lessons.

In 2009, Stone relocated from Los Angeles to Greenwich Village, New York. She returned to Los Angeles in 2016.

She has acknowledged her enthusiasm for her job and named Diane Keaton as an acting inspiration, describing her as “one of the most covered-up actors of all time.” Marion Cotillard has also been mentioned as a source of inspiration for her. Stone has a tight bond with her family.
