Becker’s family had one computer, which he and his siblings shared as children. Beginning in 2001, he began experimenting with pixel art on this PC.
Becker’s favourite animated short films were the 1953 Looney Tunes short Duck Amuck and the 1959 adaption of Harold and the Purple Crayon, both of which featured animated characters drawing objects out of their environment and served as key influences for his subsequent works.
Becker, then 17, shared the hit cartoon Animator vs. Animation on Newgrounds on June 3, 2006, where it soon went viral and was re-uploaded on different media websites.
According to Becker, an unknown firm offered him $75 for “exclusive rights” to “Animator versus Animation,” but he declined, heeding the advise of Albino Blacksheep owner Steven Lerner.
Following the success of his first cartoon, Atom Films convinced and sponsored Becker to develop Animator vs. Animation II.
Beginning on November 18, 2017, Becker began creating new short Minecraft animations as Animation vs. Minecraft began to gain popularity, surpassing Animator vs. Animation as the most-viewed video on his channel.
Becker stated on November 21, 2017, that he was collaborating with Insanity Games to produce a card game based on his animations. The card game was published in May of this year.
