Stratigeas was born on December 18, 1975, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

She had to adjust her plans due to a teacher strike in 1997.

When she was invited by the publisher of MuscleMag International to perform a test shoot for the magazine, she was working as a receptionist at a local gym.

She was eventually signed to a two-year deal after appearing on the cover of the May 1998 edition.

She worked on her figure over the following six months and was featured on multiple magazine covers.

During this time, she became the third host of Live Audio Wrestling on Toronto Sports Radio, The FAN 590, with Big Daddy Donnie and Jeff Marek.

Stratigeas had been a wrestling enthusiast since he was a youngster, and his favorites were Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, among others.

The World Wrestling Federation took notice of her modeling efforts (WWF).

She was signed to a multi-year deal with the firm in November 1999, and she was moved to Sully’s Gym to be coached by Ron Hutchison.

Stratigeas debuted as a heel under the ring name Trish Stratus on the March 19, 2000 broadcast of Sunday Night Heat.

Stratus became embroiled in a feud with WWF Chairman Vince McMahon in early 2001, at a time when Vince’s wife Linda was kayfabe institutionalized after Vince demanded a divorce on a SmackDown! broadcast.

Following that, Stratus was embroiled in a rivalry with Jazz over the Women’s Championship, which she maintained at the Royal Rumble but lost two weeks later on the February 4, 2002 episode of Raw to Jazz.

After suffering a herniated disc in May 2005, Stratus was forced to retire from the Women’s Championship, with the storyline claiming that Viscera had hurt her at Backlash after she criticized him after losing to Kane.

On June 26, 2006, Stratus returned to the arena for a Women’s Championship match against Mickie James.

On December 10, 2007, at Raw’s 15th Anniversary special, Stratus and Lita made a special cameo, assaulting Jillian Hall.

On the December 22, 2008, edition of Raw, Stratus and John Cena beat Santino Marella in her first bout in over two years.

At the 2011 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Stratus made a surprise appearance to announce that she will be a trainer on the WWE Tough Enough revival and prevented LayCool (Layla & Michelle McCool) from assaulting Kelly Kelly.

Private & early life

Stratigeas is the eldest daughter of John and Alice Stratigeas and is of Greek and Polish origin.

Christie and Melissa are her younger sisters.

On September 30, 2006, Stratigeas married Ron Fisico, her high school love, and fourteen-year boyfriend. The wedding was attended by several WWE Divas, and her wedding gown was featured on the cover of Today’s Bride magazine.

Stratus was called to be a part of Armed & Famous shortly after the wedding, so she recorded the program instead of going on her honeymoon.

Stratigeas and Fisico have a boy who was born in 2013 and a daughter who was born in 2017. Amy “Lita” Dumas, a fellow wrestler, is her son’s godmother.

Stratigeas has also volunteered for a number of organizations, including Ronald McDonald House, Dreams Take Flight, and the Special Olympics.
