Ric Flair and his then-wife Elizabeth Harrell gave birth to daughter Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr on April 5, 1986, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Megan, her elder half-sister, and David, her older half-brother, live with her, while Reid, her younger brother, died on March 29, 2013.

Education

During her tenure at Providence High School, Fliehr won two NCHSAA 4 A-State volleyball titles and was named team captain and player of the year in 2004–2005.

Prior to becoming a wrestler, she attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where she played volleyball in 2005 and 2006.

At the age of 14, Flair made her professional wrestling debut in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as Ashley Flair during her father’s rivalry with Vince Russo and her half-brother David in 2000.

She signed a developmental deal with WWE on May 17, 2012, and trained in North Carolina under Lodi before joining NXT, WWE’s developmental division, in Tampa, Florida.

Private & early life

Flair was arrested for punching a police officer on September 5, 2008, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, during an altercation involving her, her then-boyfriend, and her father. She pled guilty to a lower crime and received a sentence of 45 days in jail, which was reduced to supervised probation and a $200 fine when she pleaded guilty to a lesser offense.

Flair was married to Riki Johnson from May 2010 to February 2013. She supposedly left Johnson after being the victim of domestic abuse numerous times, according to Second Nature, a collaborative biography of her and her father issued in late 2017.

Johnson sued Flair, her father, author Brian Shields, and WWE in October 2018 for “defamatory comments” in the book.
