He is a former pharmaceutical salesman, who founded Mankind Pharma with his younger brother Rajeev in 1995.

He began his career as a medical representative with KeePharma Limited in 1974 after completing his science degree.
He joined Lupin in 1975 as a first-line boss and stayed there for almost 8 years.
He left Lupin Limited in 1983 to start his own firm, Bestochem in Partnership.
With an investment of Rs. 50 lakhs and an initial team of 25 Medical Representatives, he has withdrawn his ownership from Bestochem in 1994 and founded Mankind Pharma with his younger brother, Mr. Rajeev Juneja, in 1995.
Mankind grew from an Rs. 3.49 crores business in 1995 to a company with Rs. 3500 crores in sales by 2015.
