Education
His basic schooling was completed at Paramakudi before traveling to Madras (now Chennai) to pursue his brothers’ further education.
Haasan continued his schooling in Santhome, Madras, where his father pushed him to pursue movies and visual arts.
Career
Haasan was with his mother when a medical friend came to see A. V. Meiyappan (AVM) to treat his wife.
Haasan debuted in Balachander’s Manmadha Leelai in 1976, followed by Oru Oodhappu Kan Simittugiradhu in 1977.
Varumayin Niram Sivappu, a Tamil-language film shot concurrently in Telugu as Aakali Rajyam, was one of Haasan’s films of the 1980s.
Haasan built on Apoorva Sagodharargal by playing quadruplets in 1990, according to Michael Madana Kama Rajan.
In 1997, Haasan began directing Marudhanayagam, an unfinished Mohammed Yusuf Khan biography; a forty-five-minute film and a trailer were made.

Family
Haasan was born to D. Srinivasan, a criminal defense lawyer, and Rajalakshmi, a housewife, in the town of Paramakudi, in the Ramanathapuram region of Tamil Nadu.
His daughter Shruti Hassan made an appearance on an episode of Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi in 2013, where she was given the option to “phone a friend,” and when she called her father Kamal, he stated that his parents named him Parthasarathy before he was called Kamal Haasan and that his mother always called him by that name.
Relationships
At the age of 24, Haasan married dancer Vani Ganapathy in 1978. In the 1975 film Melnaattu Marumagal, she co-starred with Haasan.
Vani worked as a costume designer for Haasan in various films after their marriage. After eleven years of marriage, they divorced.
Haasan and actress Sarika started dating in 1988 and married after their first kid, Shruti, was born. Shruti is a Tollywood-Kollywood actress and singer.
Haasan was in a relationship with actress Gautami, his frequent co-star in the late 1980s and early 1990s, from 2005 to 2016.
He co-starred in numerous films with Srividya early in his career. In 2006, Haasan paid a visit to Srividya on her deathbed.
