Jackie Chan was born Chan Kong-sang Chan on April 7, 1954, in Hong Kong, to Chinese Civil War exiles Charles and Lee-Lee Chan.

Education
Chan went to the Nah-Hwa Primary School on Hong Kong Island, where he failed his first year and was thereafter expelled by his parents.
He was transferred to the China Drama Academy, a Peking Opera School operated by Master Yu Jim-yuen.
He put in a decade of hard work, excelling in martial arts and acrobatics.
He moved to Canberra, Australia, with his parents in 1976, where he attended Dickson College and worked as a construction worker.
