Education
AR Rahman, who was studying at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, was raised by his mother, Kareema, and had to work to support his family.
As a result, he frequently missed courses and failed examinations.

Career
AR Rahman began by writing music for documentaries and commercials as well as jingles for Indian television broadcasters.

Private & early life
Saira Banu is Rahman’s wife, and the couple has three children: Khatija, Rahima, and Ameen.

Fathima Rahman, Rahman’s younger sister, is the director of his music conservatory in Chennai.

Philanthropy
Rahman supports a variety of philanthropic organizations.
He was named worldwide ambassador of the Stop TB Partnership, a WHO program, in 2004.
