Sharma contains a degree in natural philosophy and communication engineering from the Delhi School of Engineering (now DTU).
In 1997, whereas in school, he started the website indiasite.net, and sold it 2 years later for $1 million.
Career
In 2000, he started one97 Communications which offered mobile content as well as news, cricket scores, ringtones, jokes, and communication results. One97 is the parent company of Paytm, which was launched in 2010.
Sharma created a splash in August 2018 by obtaining Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway to take a position of $300 million in Paytm.
Sharma has conjointly created Paytm Mall, AN e-commerce business, and also the Paytm Payments Bank.
