He graduated from Boston College with a master’s degree in operating and strategic management.
Career
Mittal began his career with MicroStrategy in 1998 as a product manager. He stayed with the firm for four years while also launching Sagaai.com, a matrimony website that was eventually renamed Shaadi.com to reflect the company’s business line.
Mittal resigned as CEO of the online matrimony platform Shaadi.com in July 2015 to focus on worldwide development and other areas of the company.
Mittal joined Shaadi.com as CEO in March 2016 after more than a decade as a start-up investor.
He is one of the investors, or “sharks,” in the Indian business reality television series Shark Tank India, which premieres in December 2021.
