Career
Better Luck Tomorrow (2002) was his first significant role, in which he played Han Lue, an arrogant gang member. He was one of the stars of The Motel, playing Sam Kim.
He played Han Lue in the Fast and Furious film series, appearing in Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious.
He also appeared in Jet Li’s film War (2007) as an FBI agent, and in the film Forbidden Warrior as Doran, Genghis Khan’s son.
Kang has had numerous prominent television appearances, including a recurring part in the Korean drama as the egotistical President Gin Kew Yun Chun Yew Nee.
In January 2020, Kang launched the YouTube channel “Sung’s Garage,” which hosts the videos for the podcast of the same name.
