Amanda Michelle Seyfried is an actress, singer, and model from the United States.

She began modeling at the age of eleven and began acting at the age of fifteen, with recurring parts as Lucy Montgomery on the CBS serial As the World Turns (1999–2001) and Joni Stafford on the ABC drama All My Children (2003).

Following her feature film debut in the adolescent comedy Mean Girls (2004) and a recurring role as Lilly Kane on the UPN television series Veronica Mars (2004–2006), Seyfried rose to notoriety.

Ann Seyfried, her mother, is an occupational therapist, and Jack Seyfried, her father, is a pharmacist.

Seyfried has admitted to having anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic attacks. She also suffers from stage anxiety and avoided appearing in plays until 2015.
