His acting debut was in the Telugu film Leader, for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South.
He went on to act with Bipasha Basu in the Hindi film Dum Maaro Dum (2011), for which he earned favorable reviews and won the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut.

Ramanaidu Daggubati was born on December 14, 1984, in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India, to Telugu cinema producer D. Suresh Babu in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu. D. Ramanaidu, a well-known Telugu cinema producer, is his paternal grandfather.
His paternal uncle Venkatesh and cousin Naga Chaitanya are also actors, and he is a part of the Daggubati–Akkineni family.
Rana disclosed in 2016 that he is blind in one eye and has a transplanted eye in the other.
The procedure was performed at Hyderabad’s L. V. Prasad Hospital.
When he was 14, he had another operation on his right eye, but it failed.
In Hyderabad, he lives with his family. He also has a residence in Mumbai.

He attended Chettinad Vidyashram and Hyderabad Public School in Chennai and Hyderabad, respectively. Later, he attended St. Mary’s College in Hyderabad.

Career
Rana made his acting debut with Shekhar Kammula’s Telugu film Leader (2010), which is one of his highest-grossing films.
In his next Telugu film, Nenu Naa Rakshasi (2011), he co-starred with Ileana D’Cruz as Abhimanyu, a professional killer.
In 2012, Rana has three releases.

On the 20th of May 2020, Rana got engaged to Miheeka Bajaj, the founder of Dew Drop Design Studio, at Ramanaidu Studios.
They will tie the knot at Ramanaidu Studios on August 8, 2020.
