Pothineni made his acting debut in the Tamil short film Adayaalam (2002), in which he played an 18-year-old heroin addict.
Maska and Ganesh: Just Ganesh were two of his 2009 releases. Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, produced by Dil Raju and directed by Srivaas, was Pothineni’s lone release in 2010.
In 2013, Pothineni starred with Kriti Kharbanda in Bhaskar’s Ongole Githa, which was produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad.
Pothineni appeared in two films in 2015: Pandaga Chesko and Shivam.
