Haasan attended Lady Andal School in Chennai before transferring to St. Andrew’s College in Mumbai to study psychology.
Haasan made her feature film debut as a child artist in a cameo part as Vallabhbhai Patel’s daughter in the Tamil-Hindi bilingual Hey Ram, directed by her father Kamal Haasan and based on a murder attempt on Mahatma Gandhi.
In January 2011, she made her Telugu debut, starring with Siddharth in Prakash Kovelamudi, the son of filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao, in the fantasy adventure film Anaganaga O Dheerudu.
In 2013, she starred alongside Ravi Teja in the Telugu action film Balupu, which went on to become a “super-hit” at the Indian box office.
In 2015, Haasan appeared in Tevar, a Hindi film starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, in her second item number.
In 2016, she starred in Rocky Handsome for the second time, opposite John Abraham, and in Premam, a Telugu version of the Malayalam film Premam, alongside Naga Chaitanya.
